The Webb Group (Chemical and Biological Engineering) has an opening for a postdoctoral or more senior researcher. The researcher will perform research related to advancements in methods and applications at the intersection of statistical mechanics, multiscale simulation, and machine learning. The successful applicant will be appointed through the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department. Qualified candidates should possess strong technical computational skills as well as expertise in molecular simulation (atomistic/coarse-grained modeling, enhanced sampling) and/or machine learning (e.g., deep learning, generative modeling, probabilistic modeling, embedding techniques). Domain knowledge related to soft materials or polymer physics is also of interest.

The Term of appointment is based on rank. Positions at the postdoctoral rank are for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding; those hired at more senior ranks may have multi-year appointments.
