The swimming motion of micro-organisms has recently seen an increasing interest from physicists, utilizing the recent progresses in microscopy and the development of microfluidics to study this interdisciplinary subject. In these three short seminars, we will present some experimental findings on the swimming behaviors of bacteria and micro-algae.
Taha Laroussi (LadHyX, Institut Polytechnique de Paris) - Short-term memory effects in the phototactic behaviour of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii
Adam Gargasson (FAST, Université Paris-Saclay) - A new quantification method for bacterial chemotaxis using the 3 channels microfluidic chip
Julien Bouvard (LadHyX, Institut Polytechnique de Paris) - Long-term dynamical clustering of passive particles induced by swimming bacteria
