The Research & Development Council of New Jersey honored Princeton's Robert K. Prud'homme, professor of chemical and biological engineering, along with 14 other area inventors, with the 2018 Edison Patent Award. The Council held a ceremony honoring the awardees on November 1 at the Liberty Center in Jersey City.

"New Jersey is home to so much innovation," said Larry O’Connell, Research & Development Council of New Jersey Chair and IBM’s Vice President of Global Technical Leadership. "The inventors and organizations doing this incredible work deserve to be recognized.”

This was the Council's 39th ceremony honoring inventors statewide in the name of Thomas Edison, longtime resident of Menlo Park, New Jersey, who held 1,093 patents in his lifetime.
