CBE alumna Alice P. Gast *84, currently President of Lehigh University, will become President of Imperial College London in September 2014.

Raffaelle Ocone *89 AM *92 PhD, currently Professor of Chemical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, was recently elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Kelvin H. Lee '91, currently Gore Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Delaware, and Director of the Delaware Biotechnology Institute, will receive the 2013 Professional Progress Award from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Sangtae Kim *83, Distinguished Professor of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, and Visiting Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, has received the 2013 Ho-Am Prize in Engineering, South Korea's highest honor for research accomplishment in the field.

CBE alumnae Rebecca (Weiss) Bergman ’78 and Susan Rea Peterson ’00 were recently named Technical Fellows by Medtronic. The Technical Fellows program is “designed to recognize technical employees who have significantly and consistently distinguished themselves in their field through contributions to the technical and scientific goals of Medtronic.
