A. James Link has been named professor of chemical and biological engineering. Link was first appointed to the Princeton faculty as assistant professor in 2007 and promoted to associate professor in 2013. His promotion to professor takes effect July 1, 2018.
Link currently serves as the undergraduate department representative for chemical and biological engineering. His laboratory, the Link Lab, combines approaches from both chemical and biological engineering and molecular biology to find new forms and functions for certain classes of proteins and peptides. His most recent work has focused on the chains of amino acids known as lasso peptides, so called for their slip-knot shape.
