Sankaran Sundaresan, Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has been named the Norman John Sollenberger Professor in Engineering, an endowed professorship, effective July 1, as announced in the February 19 issue of the Princeton Weekly Bulletin. Sundaresan, a world expert in granular and multiphase flow, has previously received the Princeton University President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching, and had served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. The Sollenberger Professorship was established in 1989 by the gift of Gordon Y.S. Wu ’58, in honor of Norman John Sollenberger, Professor of Civil Engineering, Emeritus.
