Sankaran Sundaresan, Norman John Sollenberger Professor in Engineering and Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, received one of four 2017 Graduate Mentoring Awards from the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning at the Graduate School’s Hooding Ceremony yesterday. The Graduate Mentoring Award recognizes Princeton faculty members, one per academic division each year, who nurture the intellectual, professional and personal growth of their graduate students. In their nominating letters, graduate students valued Sundar’s helpful guidance on papers, presentations and job talks. One former student, thankful for how Sundar connected him to multiple job opportunities, said, “It is humbling to think that all I have today in life and my trajectory in the corporate and research ladder is due to this one great man.”
