My research primarily covers fundamental understanding of molecules of life via molecular simulation methods and theory. I aim to predict the behavior of biomolecules under many different conditions, two typical examples are i) when they are in aqueous solution as they are in the test tube ii) when they are in crowded environments as they are in cell or in a modern bioengineering device. The outcomes are several-fold, most importantly, the ultimate purpose is resolving public health issues, no-known-cure debilitating human diseases.
