Princeton has a highly active local student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. AIChE Princeton aims to promote the professional development of chemical engineering majors at Princeton and to build community among its members through social activities, career-building events, and service opportunities. Each year CBE students participate in regional and national conferences and competitions.
The Society of Women Engineers is dedicated to promoting a sense of community among female BSE students, professors and alumnae of Princeton, and introducing younger girls to the various opportunities offered by studying engineering.
They hold study breaks and other social events throughout the year for interested students. The calendar also includes various industry outreach opportunities.
The National Society of Black Engineers promotes academic excellence through the form of tutoring, mentoring and incentive programs.
Among the many important opportunities available through the chapter, NSBE-PU provides a strong network and support system for minority engineers who voyage through Princeton.
